Fall

It has been a fun fall full of play time at the park, visits with family and friends, Halloween adventures, and indoor soccer!  I can now play with my little sister, stand on my toes, and say lots of big words like football helmet.  I still refuse to say my name.  I don't love nap time.  I do love hot air balloons, fire trucks, construction equipment (especially cranes), singing, dancing, and cuddles.

An exciting August...

What an amazing day.  Spencer had the honor of walking down the aisle as a ring bearer for his Mommy "D" this past weekend.  It was so amazing to be included in such a beautiful day for "D".  Spencer was of course playing shy boy for a while but eventually showed his fun spirit and gave snuggles to "D".  We were so graciously greeted by his Mommy "D"s family.  Her mother, whom we haven't seen since his birth at the hospital, her Aunt, her Brother and her new Mother In-Law, everyone was so kind and loving towards Spencer and our family.  We are so very blessed with such amazing birth families for our children.
Such a HANDSOME little dude!
Well, we almost made it down the aisle!
Photo booth fun.

Spencer's Happy Hat for the day.

The car ride home - within minutes he was OUT!
Spencer has had a very active August.  Finally we're able to get Cameryn out and about a little easier so he attended his friend's birthday party at Skyzone.  We spent a morning at the Zoo to check out the new orangutan exhibit.  Spencer has started a soccer "class" he is by far the youngest in the group but is doing well.  The first day was a lot of running (for mommy) as Spencer just wanted to check out the field but the second class he paid more attention and started to listen to his Coach George. We've gone to a Baseball Game to see the Indianapolis Indians.  It's amazing how quickly time passes and how grown up Spencer is.

He is talking a lot now and says "please" and "Thank you", even "excuse me" once in a while!  He loves to say the number TWO.  You can ask how old he is and he says "two", he walks down the stairs and says "one", "two".  I'm pretty sure his favorite song is still "Happy" by Pharrell Williams and he LOVES to dance to it with his Happy Hat.   He eats a lot of different foods and loves goat cheese (chevre), also loves Indiana Corn and tomatoes from the Farmer's Market.

He loves his doggie, Stanley.

Happy 2nd Birthday, Spencer!

It is so hard to believe this handsome "Little Dude" is already TWO years old!  He's such an amazing little personality and bring so much life into our home.  We have a hard time remembering what life was like without him and though we know it was good - it's never been better!  Spencer has grown so much in the past year too, now weighing 30 lbs and 36" tall.
His Birthday Party was lots of fun, he was fascinated with everyone singing to him and the candles on his cake.  He got lots of great toys and gifts.  His Grandma Nancy and Grandpa Art gave him a wooden train set which he adores.  His Grandma Bobbie (Nana) and Grandpa Bob (Papa) made him a special rocking horse.  The rocking horse is a gift my dad had done for each of his grandkids on their 2nd birthday; he's made some incredible horses and Spencer's is perfect!  One of the best gifts Spencer received was a video call with his special Mommy "D"!  He absolutely loved it.
We recently transitioned Spencer from his high chair to a booster, he LOVES sitting at the dinner table and eating from a big boy chair. His bed is now his big boy toddler bed too and he's doing really well at staying in his room and going "night night" but occasionally in the mornings I will find him on the floor.
Spencer is very strong and so brave he loves to climb to the highest slides on the playground (which scares mom & dad).  He seems to enjoy sports too.  We attended cousin Emily's soccer game and he enjoyed kicking around the ball afterwards.  He also got a Tee Ball set for his birthday, his cousin Nathan has taught him how to hit the ball really well!  Next is working on catching :).
We are so excited to watch him grow up and continue to learn new things each and every day!
